At its heart is Terenure Cross, the crossroads where several roads meet, and the village runs out from there along Terenure Road, lined with independent shops, cafés, restaurants, professional services and clinics. It's a proper local economy: smaller and more boutique than a high street, but serving a well-off residential catchment that spends close to home.
